Philadelphia picked up a win at The Igloo, bumping off the Billings Polar Bears, 5-2. Pitcher Kasper Berg was a major reason the Liberty Academy emerged victorious. Fred Briggs earned the save for Philadelphia. Philadelphia is 6th in the Silver AA with a record of 52-46.
In the top of the second, Philadelphia right fielder Larry Poe had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Poe stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 2-0, Philadelphia. For the game, he went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Berg said after the game.
