The Billings Polar Bears grabbed a win, 5-3, over the Ithaca Fighting Imps at The Igloo. Billings first baseman John Sears went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 7th-place Polar Bears hiked their record to 44-54.
António Heredia took Ithaca hurler Iemochi Ueda deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Polar Bears on top, 5-3. In all, Heredia had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
Heredia told a Billings Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
