Richmond Lays Hammer Down in 3-2 Win
|
In a tight contest between the Barton Springs Blues and the Minnesota Loons, William Richmond was the determining factor. The Barton Springs right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Picking up the save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Tom Butler. The Blues now have a record of 39-60 with the win over Minnesota.
Richmond, who was born in Independence, Missouri, threw 112 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing 2 runs.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Blues manager Cipriano Cereceres.
