Colorado Nets 2-1 Win Versus Rainbow Mermaids
The Colorado Billy Goats eked out a 2-1 win versus the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Grazing Hills. Nobody did more than pitcher Sloppy Thurston. He was terrific. The Billy Goats now have a record of 46-48 with the win over Northern Virginia.

The Billy Goats got a clutch hit from right fielder Jeff Hines. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Billy Goats.

"The crowd went wild," Hines said.
