White Walkers Come Up Short at Athletic Club KC, 6-5
|
The Athletic Club KC did just enough to secure a victory over the Buffalo White Walkers, 6-5, at Athletics Park. Nobody did more than designated hitter Ricardo Ojíto. Tong-kyu Ko got the win, improving to 10-7. He held the White Walkers to 5 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Magnus Belli picked up the save for Athletic Club KC, his 14th of the year.
Ojíto had a timely hit for Athletic Club KC in the bottom of the sixth. With Buffalo trailing 5-4, he turned a 1-0 curveball into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 6-5, Athletic Club KC.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Ojíto.
The Athletic Club KC move to 51-47 with the win, while the White Walkers drop to 51-47.
