Shredders Claim 7-4 Triumph
The Hollywood Shredders defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 7-4, at The Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood was led by reigning Gold Bat winner Soo-keun Yi, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Vic Byrd was credited with the save for Hollywood, his 26th of the season. The victory gives Hollywood a record of 53-45.

Luis Tañón, the Hollywood shortstop, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 7-4, Shredders. For the game, Tañón was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
