Both teams had their chances, but the Mexico City Blue Demons eventually prevailed.

The Mexico City Blue Demons picked up a win at Condor Nest, knocking off the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-3. On the mound for Mexico City was right-hander Rhys Tregelles. He played a key role in the triumph. The losing streak for Las Vegas has now reached 5 games.

Justin Jacobson had a big 2-run double for the Blue Demons in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Mexico City trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a forkball from 36-year old right-handed pitcher Nelson McNeil and swatted a double to right. It was his 31st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Demons ahead, 2-1.

"Rhys pitched like a champ," said Mexico City manager JJ Hoban.
