MSL Memphis Upended, 4-3, by MSL St. Louis
|
In a close game at MSL St. Louis Ballpark, the MSL St. Louis Coeur edged the MSL Memphis Mockingbirds, 4-3. MSL St. Louis right fielder Matt Boswell stood apart with his performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Pedro Canseco earned the save, his 1st. MSL Memphis, with the loss, is 3-5.
The Coeur got a big hit from catcher Carlos Jarquín. Facing MSL Memphis pitcher Jorge López in the bottom of the fifth, Jarquín pounded a run-scoring double to right-center. His 6th double of the season put the Coeur ahead, 3-2.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said MSL Memphis manager Melvin McCullough. "The effort was great."
