New Orleans used a clutch at-bat from Saikaku Kato to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We maximized our offense today," said New Orleans skipper Chase Sims. "That makes everyone's life easier."
