The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Montana center fielder Alberto Montés, facing Thaddeus Alambra, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Pandas the 8-7 win.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Pandas manager Andrew Schupick. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
