Hernández had a key at-bat in the bottom of the first to put Toronto in front, 3-0. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double off Montana pitcher Adam Brewer.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Hernández told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
