Miller Sensational, 5-for-6
Thursday, May 17th , 2057
Seattle left fielder Bill Miller had a big day at Wolf Den in Vancouver against the Vancouver Grey Wolves. The 28-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 7-6 Rocketeers triumph over Vancouver.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Miller said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Bill Miller doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Patrick Davis in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
Miller currently has a .310 batting average with 18 hits, 5 homers, 11 RBIs, 9 runs scored and a .333 OBP.
