Bernard on Fire: 5-for-5 for Alameda

Alameda left fielder Alain Bernard had a big day at Alameda Field against the Matlacha Manatees. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 13-2 Airmen triumph over Matlacha.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Bernard said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
