Harmon Slaps 5 Hits
Thursday, June 16th , 2061
It was a parade of hits for Carl Harmon of the Idaho Falls Chukars at Torch Field.
Connecting with regularity, Harmon finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the Torch rose to the occasion and rained on his parade by winning the game, 5-4.
"Harmon was really good, we were just a little better," said Torch manager Kevin Hancock in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win."
Carl Harmon singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Harmon has socked 37 hits in 123 at-bats for a .301 average with 7 home runs. He is getting on base at a .365 pace and his totals also include 16 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
