Alameda center fielder Roy Hill had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Washington Generals at Alameda Field as the Airmen picked up a win, 12-3.
"He was patient up there," Alameda skipper Gonzalo Féliz told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Hill has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Roy Hill struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
Thus far this season in 50 games, Hill is batting .296 with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 216 at-bats.
