Hit Parade: Pilgrim Pops 5 Hits
Saturday, July 16th , 2061
Brian Pilgrim found his groove in today's game versus the Matlacha Manatees and wrote his name in the league record book. His 5-for-6 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Laredo Hawks, as the club lost the game, 11-10.
The 22-year-old center fielder told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked."
"I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Pilgrim said.
Brian Pilgrim doubled in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Andrew Thomas in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 10th, singled in the 12th and flied out in the 14th.
Pilgrim is currently batting .338 with 4 home runs, 15 runs scored and 16 RBIs. His OBP is .402.
