Anderson Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Monday, May 21st , 2063
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Al Anderson -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Panda Park and paced the 8-5 Flamingos win over the Montana Pandas.
After his dynamite batting performance, the Las Vegas second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Al Anderson hit a two-run home run off Tom Sparks in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and struck out in the 11th.
In this current campaign Anderson is hitting at a .456 clip with 2 home runs and 12 RBIs.
