Payling Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, August 12th, 2038 Chris Payling exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Nashville Stadium. The Hollywood right fielder had a field day in the 7-3 triumph over the Nashville Outlaws, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Payling must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Chris Payling singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Peter Glenn in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
