Kaneko on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle Thursday, August 23rd , 2063 Echo Park's Eichiro Kaneko accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Kaneko finished 4-for-5 with 1 RBI and 3 runs scored and helped the Lakers knock off the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 8-5, at LA Forum. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Kaneko told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Eichiro Kaneko tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Brad Carter in the 8th.
