Collins Dominates Piranhas
Saturday, August 25th , 2057
Gregory Collins bent a little, but he didn't break against the Panama City Piranhas. The D.C. Divided pitcher hurled a 3-hit, 9-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 1 walk and tallying 5 strikeouts.
"Gregory is good at getting out of jams," Divided manager Jonathan Gerth told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
This year, Collins has fashioned a 8-5 mark, 3.02 ERA and pitched 122.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .222 against him and he has logged 80 strikeouts.
