Hewitt Tosses 8-0 Shutout for St. Louis Wednesday, September 5th , 2063 Dan Hewitt of the St. Louis Coeur was masterful, pitching a 4-hit shutout, 8-0, against the Montana Pandas. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by St. Louis manager Scott McMahon. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Hewitt had 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
