Taylor Gets 5 Hits Monday, September 17th , 2057 All game long, Oakland's Brett Taylor was rattling the walls at The Oak Grove and banging out base hits against the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Oaks had a win, 7-3. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 25-year-old shortstop said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Brett Taylor singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off José Hernández in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
