Murakami Stretches Hit String to 20 Sunday, May 19th, 2041 Nobuhisa Murakami, first baseman for the St. Louis Coeur, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 6-2 victory today over the Colorado Billy Goats at Grazing Hills today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Nobuhisa Murakami grounded out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
