5-Hit Barrage by García Monday, July 28th, 2036 There was no storybook ending. Francisco García of the Phoenix Hotspur socked it to the visiting San Mateo Dirty Reds with a terrific 5-hit game today, but his team didn't get the win. The Hotspur fell, 12-10, at Chase Field. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," García complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too." He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Phoenix manager Michael Esposito sympathized with his right fielder, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Francisco played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough." Francisco García hit a solo-shot off Itsa Sandwich in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
