Nova Scotia-Dayton Brawl, Lammers and González Suspended Friday, June 3rd , 2061 If there wasn't a history between Feitze Lammers of Nova Scotia and Mario González of Dayton, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Lammers said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." For the season, Lammers has produced 6 hits in 17 at-bats for a .353 average with 1 home run and gotten on base at a .421 clip. González has made 5 starts, tossed 30.2 innings, struck out 24 batters and walked 14. His record is 2-1 with a 3.82 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .267 batting average. |
