Behind Hudson, St. Louis Blanks Nova Scotia, 4-0
Friday, June 24th , 2061
The Nova Scotia Leviathan manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the St. Louis Coeur. The Leviathan were overpowered by St. Louis starter David Hudson, who hurled his club to victory, 4-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Tyler Studebaker said.
Over 9 innings, Hudson blanked Nova Scotia on 4 hits with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Hudson said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
For the year, Hudson has a 3-3 record with a 4.81 ERA in 8 starts.
