José Lucero Out for Season Tuesday, August 21st, 2035 A blow for José Lucero today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 5 months with a torn meniscus. Lucero suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Quebec City Les Bleus are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Lucero's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. So far this year Lucero has made 11 starts, tossed 57.2 innings, struck out 29 batters and walked 19. His record is 4-1 with a 2.81 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .244 batting average. |
