Everything came together at the plate for the 31-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Bowties triumph, 8-6, at Washington Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Chávez said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Héctor Chávez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
