Lawrence Higgins Blanks Dayton, 7-0 Wednesday, August 31st , 2061 Lawrence Higgins led the Cape Coral Hurricanes to a shutout victory, 7-0, over the Dayton Dirty Reds at Factory of Sadness. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Higgins recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Higgins yielded 5 hits and had 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Dayton manager David Dodds said.
