Frost Slams 5 Hits for Nova Scotia
Monday, August 7th , 2062
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Troy Frost, it came around today.
The 25-year-old center fielder scattered hits all over Detroit Stadium to pace the 13-4 Nova Scotia Leviathan victory over the Detroit Rock City.
Detroit skipper Kyle Salow told reporters in the press room that "Frost deserves a hat-tip."
"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Frost hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."
Troy Frost singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Miguel González in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
Thus far this season, Frost is hitting .312 with 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 82 hits in 263 at-bats and has played in 66 games.
