5-Hit Blitz by Banks Thursday, September 13th , 2057 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Elliot Banks is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Cape Coral Hurricanes at Factory of Sadness. The monster effort from the 31-year-old right fielder helped the Dayton Dirty Reds get the win, 10-6. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Hurricanes manager Greg Diersing. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Elliot Banks hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off John Palmer in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Vic Byrd in the 9th.
