Best Rookie Trophy Presented to Salinas Saturday, November 11th , 2062 What a season it was for Dayton's Fernando Salinas in this new star's first year in the Menard's Third League. He put together a year that earned him the 2062 Newcomer of the Year Award. The 22-year-old shortstop crunched some good numbers with a .294 batting average and a .368 on-base percentage to go with his 25 home runs, 75 RBIs and 68 runs scored. Mal Parker of the St. Louis Coeur finished second in voting, while Jeff Ricks of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC finished third. |
