Hialeah's Joubert Sidelined for Season Sunday, June 19th , 2061 The doctors have spoken and Robert Joubert of the Hialeah Dodos didn't like what he heard. The 33-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Joubert sustained his season-ending injury during the Pawnee ParksNRec game yesterday at Whips Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hialeah medical staff reported Joubert had a ruptured disc and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months. This season, Joubert has nailed down no saves with 16 strikeouts in 14.2 innings. He is credited with no wins and 2 losses and has a 12.27 earned run average. |
