Willis Shackles Port Royal Saturday, June 25th , 2061 The Port Royal Disaster had no answer for Ft. Myers Marlins pitcher Thad Willis. They failed to score a single run against him, losing, 7-0. Port Royal managed only 6 hits off Willis, who had 7 strikeouts. The extraordinarily popular Willis got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd. "Marlins fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances, but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."
