Star of the Week Named in 3AAA Monday, July 23rd , 2046 Maurice Wrightson demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the M3L Triple A Player of the Week Award. The Baton Rouge first baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .522 average (12-for-23) with 6 home runs and 13 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This year Wrightson has socked 43 hits in 140 at-bats for a .307 average with 19 home runs. He is getting on base at a .376 pace and his totals also include 37 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |
