League Punishes Pair for Fighting
Saturday, June 22nd , 2058
If there wasn't a history between Jerome Woodard of Austin and Richard Kinmont of Sioux Falls, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 3 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Woodard said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Woodard is currently hitting at a .358 pace with 6 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 25 times.
Kinmont's record this season is 1-and-1 with no saves and a 3.15 ERA. He has given up 20 hits in 20 innings with 16 strikeouts.
