Season-Ending Injury for Jesse Clark
Saturday, July 2nd , 2061
The doctors have spoken and Jesse Clark of the Hamilton Thunderbirds didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Clark sustained his season-ending injury during the Hialeah Dodos game yesterday at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hamilton medical staff reported Clark had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
Clark has earned no saves and a 0-1 mark this season with a 1.35 earned run average in 6 relief appearances. He has worked 6.2 innings, yielded 8 hits, struck out 2 batters and walked 3.
