Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Pace Saturday, July 16th , 2061 The Salt Lake City Buzz stopped the Sunset District Fog, 4-0, and Dave Pace collected a base hit yet again. The Salt Lake City first baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Pace told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Dave Pace doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and doubled in the 8th. This season, Pace has hit at a .358 clip and produced 27 runs batted in, 4 home runs and 27 runs. |
