Fog End Pace Streak Monday, July 18th , 2061 The Salt Lake City Buzz lost to the Sunset District Fog, 11-8, at Spirits Stadium, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Dave Pace's 21-game hitting streak. The first baseman went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Pace, we would win the game," Fog manager Brady Bess explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." This season, Pace is batting at a .350 clip with 4 home runs and 29 RBIs. |
