Pace Goes 5-for-5 Saturday, August 18th , 2063 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Dave Pace is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Hialeah Dodos at Spirits Stadium. The monster effort from the 31-year-old first baseman helped the Salt Lake City Buzz get the win, 12-2. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Dodos manager Albert Pérez. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Dave Pace singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Pace is batting .328 this year with 8 home runs, 31 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
