Manager Albert Pérez Booted Out in Hialeah
Wednesday, September 12th , 2063
The winds of change have hit Hialeah.
Many saw the news coming, but it still came as a bit of a surprise to the sports world when Albert Pérez was fired earlier today.
The team cited "intellectual differences" as contributing to the decision but refused to go into details. The only thing that is clear right now is that the hunt is on for a new manager.
"Albert was a top-notch manager, he just wasn't the right guy for our team and our situation right now," said a team official speaking on condition of anonymity.
The Dodos spokesman indicated that Pérez had not been meeting goals set out for him by the team owner.
"What's done is done," Pérez told reporters. "I'm just looking at my situation going forward, not backward. There's nothing I can change about the situation in Hialeah. I just have to focus on what's to come next in my future."
