Cordero Gone for Season in Sunset District Tuesday, August 29th , 2062 The season is finished for Alejandro Cordero of the Sunset District Fog. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Fog starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Florida Men. Team doctors said it would take at least 12 months to heal. On the season, Cordero has compiled a 0-0 mark with a 3.80 ERA in 5 starts. In pitching 21.1 innings he has 10 strikeouts and 2 walks while limiting the opposition to a .247 batting average. |
