Wheeler Honored by M3L Triple A Monday, September 18th , 2062 Mike Wheeler must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .524 pace, then the Milton first baseman finds out he has been selected the top performer and gets the M3L Triple A Player of the Week Award. Asked what his hitting philosophy was, Wheeler quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it." It was a good week's work for Wheeler. He hit .524 average (11-for-21) with 5 home runs and 14 RBIs. Wheeler is currently batting .321 with 13 home runs, 50 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has 97 hits in 302 at-bats. |
