League Suspends Acosta and Bird for Brawl Friday, May 6th , 2061 Juan Luis Acosta of Vermont and Jim Bird of Florida were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Acosta will have to miss 3 games for his part in the brawl, while Bird was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This season, Acosta is hitting .133 with 2 hits, no home runs, 2 RBIs, scored 4 runs and played in 5 games. |
