Florida No Match for Cepeda
Monday, August 20th, 2035
The Scranton Supernovas shut out the Florida Men 2-0 today behind the strong pitching of Apollo Cepeda. Cepeda surrendered only 2 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 6.

Following the last out, Cepeda appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Florida manager Brian Fowler, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Cepeda's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Men skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Supernovas press conference, Cepeda confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Cepeda said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Scranton manager Micheal Garren added.

So far this year Cepeda has made 4 starts, tossed 37.1 innings, struck out 25 batters and walked 13. His record is 2-2 with a 2.65 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .192 batting average.
