Henshaw Jr. Batters Ellenburg for 5 Hits
Sunday, September 3rd , 2062
It was almost a perfect day for Mike Henshaw Jr..
The Baton Rouge first baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Brass lost to the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 7-6. Henshaw Jr. told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
Mike Henshaw Jr. hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Harley Wright in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Harley Wright in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
At present, Henshaw Jr. is batting .410 and has collected 6 home runs, 17 RBIs, .465 OBP and scored 19 runs.
