Velásquez Tosses 8-0 Shutout Friday, June 17th , 2061 In an outstanding mound performance, Kansas Rainbeaus starter Marvin Velásquez fired a complete-game shutout against the Milton Dogfish Head at Wichita Field. Velásquez was the key to the 8-0 Kansas win. The 23-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 2 hits and 3 walks he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
