Hopper and Hansen Fight, Get Suspended Wednesday, September 2nd, 2043 Dewitt Hopper of the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys and Von Hansen of the Kansas Rainbeaus will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 3 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Squirrel Monkeys-Rainbeaus game at The Zoo in Syracuse. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Hopper and Hansen will begin serving them soon. Hopper is hitting .221 for the season with 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 33 hits in 149 at-bats and played in 41 games. So far this season, in 25 relief appearances Hansen has compiled an ERA of 6.21. He has pitched 33.1 innings, struck out 36, walked 15 and registered 7 saves. |
