Memphis's Pesci Winner, SAAA Best Hitter in August Monday, September 1st, 2042 For a rookie just breaking in, Joël Pesci certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the SAAA Batter of the Month award for August. The 24-year-old third baseman for the Memphis Redbirds hit .389 with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored. This season Pesci is batting .328 with 16 home runs. He has scored 55 runs and driven in 65. |
