Philadelphia-Syracuse Brawl, Vaughn and González Suspended
Monday, July 4th , 2061
Carl Vaughn of the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves and Juan González of the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Liberty Reserve Stadium.

During the current season Vaughn is batting at a .257 clip with 4 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 48 games and scored 28 times.

For the year, González has saved 0 games while posting an ERA of 6.64 and 23 strikeouts in 42 innings. His totals also include a 0-5 record in 5 relief appearances.
