Bill Grant Sidelined for Season Thursday, August 16th , 2063 The doctors have spoken and Bill Grant of the Austin Black Mambas didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Grant sustained his season-ending injury during the Syracuse Starks game yesterday at Mamba Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Austin medical staff reported Grant had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 15-16 months. |
